Rachel’s relentless optimism and fearless drive propelled 7 Layer Studio from a one-woman operation to the award-winning multidisciplinary agency that it is today. As the studio’s chief visionary, she brings the energy and positivity that sets the tone for team culture and keeps us looking forward. With nearly two decades of design experience under her belt, she is a champion of fearless creativity that is grounded in strategy and excellence. While raising four kids and growing a business, Rachel is always hungry for a challenge. Her passion for life extends beyond the studio, where she loves movie nights with her family and recharging in nature.
Becky Williamson
Creative Operations
Becky is the magic potion of the studio. She keeps the studio organized and grounded by managing calendars and communicating with clients so that our designers can create their best work. She is everyone’s cheerleader, and enjoys studio camaraderie and the collaborative nature of the design process, while also infusing a fresh creative perspective. She is never one to shy away from good conversation with a friend (or stranger!), and loves cats, antiquing, and great baked goods. In her spare time, Becky can be found dissecting hidden meaning in Taylor Swift’s lyrics or hanging out with her husband and two children.
Designer
An intuitive empath, Deanna has a knack for seeing the big picture and loves digging for deeper meaning and purpose. She sees design as a storytelling opportunity that starts with finding and creating meaning. Passionate about learning and always up for a challenge, she finds joy in problem-solving. Her creative superpowers are in the overlap of writing and design, and are best applied in projects that include research and brand strategy. Outside the studio, you can find her with her nose in a good memoir or hanging out with her two kitties.
Designer
Madiha loves creativity in all forms. She’s lived all over the world, and her experiences taught her the value of diversity, which she strives to bring to her designs. She is constantly fascinated by the geometry of Islamic art & architecture, which inspires her to work with a framework of shapes and patterns. Her free time is full of creative expression — designing custom jewelry, practicing Arabic calligraphy, doodling fun characters and travel sketches — not to mention keeping up with her energetic daughter Mira.
